MISSION STATEMENT

Chamber of Commerce and Industry Switzerland-Turkey is established on 1985 and the head office of the Chamber is in Geneva and organized cooperatively governed by articles 60 and following of the Swiss Civil Code is hereby formed under the name of “Chamber of Commerce and Industry Switzerland-Turkey”.

The Chamber’s organs are the following:

a) the General Meeting

b) the Committee

c) the Auditors

d) the Secretariat

The committee is formed by seven or nine members appointed by the General Meeting; the Committee directs the Chamber and represents the Company towards third parties.
Objectives and activity:
The Chamber’s objectives are the development of the economic and commercial relations between Switzerland and Turkey and in order to attain these objectives, the maintaining of existing links as well as the creation of friendly relations between commercial and industrial companies of these two countries.
In order to carry out these objectives, the Chamber :

Entertains close relations with the Swiss and Turkish authorities, with the Chambers of Commerce and banks with the economic companies and commercial and industrial enterprises of the two countries.

Provides information on daily, weekly and monthly basis concerning economic relations between Switzerland and Turkey, documentation and information concerning the laws, decrees and regulations on banking, importations and investments as well as the customs regulations that are in force in the two countries concerned.

Encourages the transfer of technology and creation of “joint ventures” in the industrial and agricultural fields.

Is entitled to edit and distribute a review and other publications.

Arranging meetings and conferences as possible either with the authorities of the two countries or with industrial or commercial principals.

Organizes information trips of a technical and economic nature.

Information concerning the regulation of exports in transit via Turkey from other countries.

Furnishing of addresses of Swiss firms likely to be interested in exporting their products to Turkey. Communication of addresses of Turkish firms likely to be interested in exporting their products to Switzerland. Location of agents and of Swiss and Turkish representatives well established in their areas of activity.

Counsel concerning choice of lawyers in the two countries.

Distribution of Swiss and Turkish statistics on economics.

ACTIVITIES ON COMMISSION AGAINST PAYMENT

Assistance in case of litigation or arbitration.
